Kim Kardashian scored an invite to the star-studded wedding of billionaire heir Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant even though she had never met the couple.
The SKIMS Founder, 44, revealed in the most recent episode of The Kardashians that she snagged a highly coveted invitation to the multi-million dollar nuptials in Mumbai thanks to a mutual friend.
“I actually don’t know the Ambanis,” Kardashian shared in a confessional. “We definitely have friends in common.”

“Lorraine Schwartz is one of our good friends — she’s a jeweler — she does jewelry for the Ambani family. She told me that she was going to their wedding and they would love to invite you and we just kinda went on a whim and said sure,” she explained of her and sister Khloé Kardashian’s attendance at the wedding.
Khloé noted that the lavish invitations to the wedding — which she says “must’ve weighed 40-50 lbs.” — was what ultimately convinced them to attend. According to The Guardian, the Ambanis sent an engraved box depicting a Hindu deity that was filled with gifts and played Hindu mantras as a wedding invitation.
She also explained that it was a “once in a lifetime opportunity” to “experience” India in a lavish way, which was too good to pass up, and they stayed at the Taj Mahal Palace hotel for the nuptials.
“It’s just so cool. I mean, what I think about most is what Dad would be thinking. I don’t think Dad ever went to India. Like, these are things that people don’t get to do. And we get to do them and do it together, like, what is this life?,” reflected Khloé in a confessional.

Anant, a billionaire heir who is the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani (who has a net worth of around $123 billion) and Nita Ambani, tied the knot with Merchant in a luxurious ceremony that began on July 12, 2024 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai’s Bandra-Kurla Complex in India. The space was transformed into the waterfront steps of Varanasi, per The Guardian, which Khloé described as feeling like you stepped into “It’s a Small World” at Disney World.
Celebrities in attendance included John Cena, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra Jonas along with Ivanka Trump, Hillary Clinton, Bill Gates and members of Bhutan’s royal family. There were also numerous celebrities that performed at several pre-wedding festivities for the couple, including Rihanna, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber.

Kim described it as the “craziest wedding ever” and named it as the “craziest experience” of her life. She explained on the show, “I’ve never seen anything like that ever in my life … Everything had diamonds … I don’t think any other culture celebrates a union and love like this.”
The entrepreneur also revealed that the groom’s sister Isha Ambani told her and Khloé that their attendance was the best part of the wedding for her, as when she used to work in the U.S. as a consultant, she would watch KUWTK because she felt lonely and they felt like her family.
“They really are the nicest family,” Kim shared in a confessional.
