Married at First Sight Australia on E4 took a dramatic turn during the latest episode when a groom accidentally dropped his bride during their first dance.

“Warrior” Ryan was quick to apologise to his new wife Jacqui after his clumsy move, which left their wedding guests speechless on Monday (March 10) evening. on E4.

The couple was dancing in front of their loved ones when Ryan attempted to dip Jacqui, but he lost his footing and she fell backwards. Ryan tried to save her but ended up landing on top of her.

One guest exclaimed that he had “ruined everything” before the screen went blank.

Fans took to E4 social media to mock Ryan’s mishap, with one saying: “RyRy the Warrior dropped the ball (and chain! ) Best moment of the series so far. Another joked: “Ryan, you’re that athletic and strong you dropped your wife.”

A third person commented: “Ryan the “warrior” drops his wife doing a dip on the dance floor and wants the footage left out for HER dignity! ! ! !”

A fourth fan typed: “Ryan dropping Jacqui, omg I’m crying. This guy is comedy gold – he is the actual antithesis of everything he says about himself!!”

Ryan was later caught on camera pleading with the Married at First Sight producers not to air the footage of him accidentally dropping Jacqui, reports OK!.

He expressed his concerns about the incident being broadcasted in the episode, which originally aired in Australia back in January.

A flustered Ryan asked if the embarrassing moment could be edited out, saying: “Can we potentially discuss afterward, leaving that part out? I’m not thinking of myself, I’m thinking of her.”

The producer responded: “We’ll talk about that later. Let’s get through the rest of the night first.”

Married at First Sight Australia airs Monday to Thursday on E4 at 7.30pm
