BBC DIY SOS star Nick Knowles revealed the real reason he hasn’t married fiancée Katie Dadzie yet after the TV presenter got down one knee and proposed last summer
Nick Knowles shared the reason he and his fiancée Katie Dadzie have found it impossible to set a date for their wedding.
The 61-year-old TV presenter got engaged to lingerie brand owner Katie, 33, last July, but the pair haven’t been able to plan their wedding due to their work commitments. Their busy work schedule means they haven’t had the time to sit down to talk things through, which has become an increasingly “difficult” thing for the pair to do over the past couple of months.
On whether he plans to marry Katie sometime soon, Nick said: “Not yet. Still haven’t decided. Still thinking about it. I’ve been away too much with all the travel shows I’ve been doing. Katie’s been very busy with the company. And as that gets busier, the time to be able to find, to disappear for a week in the schedule gets more and more difficult.”
The DIY SOS presenter previously said he won’t it be an issue if their wedding is delayed. He told The Sun: “You know what, I thought it might be something that, you propose, then it might be something [like] 18 months to two years. It turns out it’s like pulling the pin on a hand grenade it starts to happen straight away. It’s a wonderful thing.
Nick has four children from three different relationships – three sons and one daughter – while Katie is a mother to two children, Savannah, eight, and Alex, five. Katie previously opened up about meeting each other through their kids in 2019.
Sharing her first impressions on her current partner, Katie shared that she “actually didn’t like him very much” at first and admitted she didn’t know much about Nick and his TV career at the time.
After their pair went public with their relationship, she was met with a barrage of hate from trolls who criticised her 28-year age-gap relationship with Nick, with some people labelling her a ‘gold digger.’ However, Nick hit back at their haters on X, formerly known as Twitter, and revealed his fiancée has degrees in two subjects, runs three businesses as well as being a mother to her tow children. He branded her “wealthier and more successful” than himself as he attacked cruel trolls.
Nick married his first wife Gillian back in 1995, but the pair split in 2000. They share two children – daughter Tuesday and their son Charlie. The property guru then went on to have son Tyrian-J during a two-year relationship with beauty therapist Paula Beckett-Vass before beginning a three-year romance with presenter Suzi Perry. His fourth relationship was with Jessica Moore, with the ex-couple sharing a son named Eddie.
