A Northern Ireland charity is holding a wedding dress event in Belfast this weekend.

Cancer Lifeline is inviting all brides-to-be to the event which is being held at Balmoral Hotel on Sunday, February 18, from 12pm to 3pm, with admission free.

A spokesperson said: “Come and let us be a part of making your special day that extra bit special with all dresses on show in different styles and sizes. We are sure we will have the perfect dress for you. The dress doesn’t choose the bride, the bride chooses the dress!

“Our stunning collection of dresses have been very generously donated to Cancer Lifeline by Jean Millar Bridal (Belfast) and Naomi’s Of Ballynahinch.

“On the day, we will have entertainment and music with a showing of our dresses on models so that you the customer can get a better and closer look at what we have to offer. We are delighted to announce that the fabulous Lady Portia will be our compere for the event (now we know its a party!).”

Everyone attending will get a 10% discount voucher to be used at the Balmoral Hotel restaurant on Sunday, February 18.

You can check out Cancer Lifeline’s Facebook page to enter their competition to win a £50 food voucher to be used on the day of event. The winner will be announced on Friday, February 16.

A spokesperson added: “We hope to see you all there, but we understand that not everyone can attend the event. If that is the case, please contact shop@cancerlifeline.info and we can arrange something for you.”

You can also contact the shop on 02890434681.

Funds raised by the charity go directly back into providing vital and quick response support services for people diagnosed with cancer and their family members. Examples of support services include counselling, complementary therapy treatments and wellbeing programmes.
