Love Island star Olivia Attwood married now husband Bradley Dack in June last year – and has now stunned fans by explaining how much she earned by documenting her big day for reality TV
Olivia Attwood has opened up about the salary she was paid for starring in the reality show about her wedding day – and fans may be shocked about her truth.
The 32-year-old former Love Island contestant tied-the-knot with 30-year-old footballer Bradley Dack in June last year. Their big day is said to have put them back hundreds of thousands of pounds as they spared no expense to ensure they had a perfect day.
And while the happy couple swapped vows in front of loved ones, family members and friends – they also welcomed cameras into the lead up and climax of their big day. All the highlights of the wedding preparations were captured in the four-part documentary series Olivia Marries Her Match – which itself followed on from show, Olivia Meets Her Match, which has aired since 2020 and documents her romance with Brad.
Despite the show airing on ITVBe – a huge commercial channel – she claims she has not made a penny out of sharing her wedding day with her viewing public. And, indeed, the star has previously admitted she splashed £200,000 on her big day – £30,000 of which was spent on her wedding dress alone.
Speaking on the So Wrong It’s Right Podcast, Olivia “I feel like I should have royalties and have something to do with this. I mean? You see it everywhere… I’m like, I should have a percentage of this cut. I don’t even have anything!”
She claimed: “It would interest people that I didn’t make a penny off that series, not one! Not one P because I ended up spending so much trying to keep everyone happy.”
Olivia has previously confirmed her nuptials cost a whopping £200,000. She told The Sun: “The figure [£200,000] was out there and it’s spot on. It’s hard because I don’t mind talking about that kind of stuff but I always try to be mindful and respectful, you don’t want to sound out of touch, it’s six figure, it makes me feel a bit sick.”
She added: “There is nothing I regret, the band was incredible, the food was great, you have a budget in mind but as the weeks get nearer and nearer, you say yes yes yes to everything and before you know it you are over budget, so I think over all it got away from us a little bit.” The couple reportedly bought 29,000 flowers to decorate their wedding day – and Olivia’s £30k dress was created by the designer Galia Lahav.
The couple held their wedding at the exclusive Bulgari Hotel in London and the intimate event was attended by 80 guests. Liv was walked down the aisle by her father, Kai, and the pair beamed as they swapped vows in front of cameras.
However, there was laughter in the aisles as Olivia stumbled over her words during one section of her vows – when she was asked to promise Bradley she would stay by him “for richer, for poorer.” The reality star then gasped: “How poor?” – before speedily adding: “I’m joking.”
