Outlander star Nell Hudson has taken to Instagram to reveal her plans for an intimate wedding with her fiancé Max, as they prepare for the arrival of their first child.
The 34 year old British actress, who got engaged to Maximillian King in March 2024, delighted fans a year later in March 2025 by posting a picture cradling her baby bump and announcing: “Hello, it’s been a while. Very happy to share some big news! I’m pregnant.”
Her fellow Outlander cast members were quick to shower her with love and congratulations in the comments section, and she has been actively updating her followers about her journey into motherhood.
In a recent Instagram story, Nell switched gears to discuss her upcoming nuptials: “I will now be hard swerving into the subject of hair.
“Me and Max are doing a very tiny family-only wedding before the baby comes. So I feel so lucky that my future brother-in-law @larrykinghair will be there and helping me on the day.”
She also expressed her desire to elevate her bridal look with a touch of luxury: “And, in order to take it to the next level I wanted to get a very luxury clip-in hair piece to give me some extra volume and length..”
Nell then posted a video trying out some hair extensions, ultimately describing her transformed appearance as “dreamy” while flaunting her long, blonde curls.
The actress has not shied away from sharing her pregnancy progress; in March, she revealed being five months along and even tested out various outfits for fit.
Upon initially breaking the news of her pregnancy, Nell received heartfelt messages from Outlander co-stars Caitriona Balfe and Lauren Lyle among others.
Nell and her producer partner Max got engaged in a romantic Parisian setting, and amongst the first to extend well-wishes was her Outlander co-star and friend Sam Heughan, who plays Jamie Fraser, posting: “Congrats you two!!”
The newly-engaged couple shared a romantic snapshot posing together as they took in the breathtaking view of the iconic Eiffel Tower.
