Ruth Langsford was spotted wearing her wedding ring again in a recent selfie, weeks following her split from Eamonn Holmes. The Loose Women’s presenter had not worn the ring since announcing her separation from her husband.
The television stars, both 64, shocked fans last month by divulging their divorce after 14 years of marriage which sent ripples through the entertainment industry. Langsford used Instagram to post her updated fashion statement including a utility jacket, cargo trousers and wedge trainers, all sourced from her own clothing line, and of course, the all-important wedding band.
As reported by the Mirror, the revelation comes amongst speculated rumours that Langsford discovered messages between her husband and another woman on a laptop. An informant who spoke to The Sun on Sunday reported: “Ruth was completely taken by surprise when she saw the messages.

“She had no idea what had been going on between them. She was devastated. Not only was she very upset but she was also angry.”
Sources close to Ruth, who is currently taking a break from her role on Loose Women amidst her personal troubles, have indicated that reconciliation seems unlikely. While Ruth has decided to take the remainder of the month off, Eamonn has already returned to his presenting duties at GB News.
The discovery of Eamonn’s comforting companionship with another woman, which included several outings, has reportedly left Ruth “hurt”. The other woman, in her forties, reportedly developed a rapport with Eamonn over the last few years, joining him for visits to a safari park, a Manchester United match, and a Beyonce concert.
A confidante of Ruth’s shared: “Ruth was hurt when she learned about Eamonn’s friendship with another woman but she is strong and she will be back soon with a smile on her face, putting her best foot forward, as she always does. She needs a bit of time to regroup after everything that’s gone on, which is understandable, but she plans to return to Loose Women, with renewed vigour, in July.”
A representative for Ruth added: “Ruth had holiday time booked from Loose Women and has extended her leave. She’s looking forward to returning to the show in due course.” Additionally, a mutual friend, Liz Taylor, revealed that Eamonn was “terrified” of Ruth throughout their relationship.
During a 2020 episode of Liz’s podcast ‘Events That Made Me’, Ruth revealed her first encounter with Eamonn was in the television sector, highlighting it as a “rocky start” for both of them. She was quoted as saying: “We have a healthy respect with what we do. I do smile sometimes because I think there were people, a lot in regional TV, who thought I got onto TV when I started seeing Eamonn, and that’s why I’m here.”
To which, Liz humorously responded: “What makes me laugh is he’s bloody terrified of you…,” provoking a burst of laughter from Ruth. The duo spoke candidly about the secrets behind their then-blossoming marriage in another podcast titled ‘How To Stay Married’, according to Express reports.
Eamonn provided his take on maintaining a thriving relationship, expressing: “The secret is compromise, the secret is consideration and lots of conjugals.”
