Sydney Sweeney has cancelled her walk down the aisle, it has been reported. The Euphoria star is very tight-lipped about her private life, but sources say it’s not smooth-sailing behind the scenes.

Actress Sydney, 27, first became linked to film producer Jonathan Davino, 41, in 2018, and fans were stunned when they spotted a giant rock on Sydney’s hand in late 2022.

The duo are said to have set their wedding for as little as a few weeks away this spring, but they’ve decided not to go ahead with their vows amid “tension” in their relationship.

Speaking to Us Weekly, an insider said that the couple “have been having major issues but are not fully split,” adding that “things are not great right now” but they haven’t called time on their relationship completely.

“They were supposed to get married this spring. The wedding is not happening, and they aren’t having further discussions about it,” they said. “Sydney wanted to cancel everything and couldn’t handle the stress.”

Explaining that Madame Web star Sydney and her beau were focusing on patching things up, the source said that Sydney being so busy with work was one of the major bones of contention.

“She doesn’t have a lot of downtime, and it causes tension in their relationship. Sydney is really focused on her career. Jonathan wishes they were able to spend more quality time together,” they said.

Another “tough” issue for Jonathan is the “full attention” Sydney gives to promoting her films, adding that “people always speculate about their relationship and Sydney being close to her co-stars.”

The source might be referring to the romcom Anyone But You, which Sydney starred in opposite heartthrob Glen Powell.

While promoting the film Sydney was of course with Jonathan, while Glen was dating model Gigi Paris at the time – but fans still thought something was going on between the stars.

After the drama, Glen admitted that Sydney suggested they slightly encourage the rumours to drum up interest in the movie.

“The two things that you have to sell a rom-com are fun and chemistry. Sydney and I have a ton of fun together, and we have a ton of effortless chemistry. That’s people wanting what’s on the screen off the screen, and sometimes you just have to lean into it a bit – and it worked wonderfully,” he told The Times.

Glen and Gigi ended up splitting up soon after all the speculation, while the insider says that Jonathan finds such situations difficult to deal with.

The news of Sydney’s wedding postponement follows rumours that she and Jonathan have been living separately. TMZ claims that at Sydney has been staying at celeb hotspot Beverly Hills Hotel since mid-February accompanied by bodyguards and friends, while Jonathan stays elsewhere.
