This Morning presenter Alison Hammond expressed light-hearted concern during the show, teasing that she may not receive an invitation to her colleague’s wedding.

Alison, 50, appeared alongside co-host Dermot O’Leary on Friday’s episode, which featured a lively discussion on the latest trending topics with guests Nick Ferrari and Ashley James.

As they discussed weddings, following a story about a bride who had 95 bridesmaids, Alison asked Nick and Ashley for their thoughts on the subject.

When Nick mentioned his forthcoming wedding in the South of France, Alison seized the opportunity to joke about not being invited, reports Wales Online.

Nick quipped: “You don’t know how many friends you’ve got until you take them out because you’re getting married in the South of France, as I am later this year.

“Suddenly everyone is your friend!” he added.

Ashley interjected, sayingL “I still haven’t made the cut, by the way.” Alison laughed, saying: “I don’t think I’ve made the cut, I’m devastated.”

Dermot reassured her that it was “early doors” yet, but Alison joked that if she did attend the wedding, she might sing out loud “it should have been me”.

Nick, 65, had previously announced his wedding news on This Morning in January. He announced to viewers: “Well, I know a nation’s heart is broken, but I have to impart the news that I am engaged to be wed to Clare.

“I am engaged to be wed to Clare. We had the most idyllic Christmas and we’d been to Lapland and had a brilliant time.

“Then we were down in the South of France and after ten years together I said she can make an honest man out of me. I did it at our favourite restaurant in the South of France.”

Nick has two sons from his previous marriage to Sandra Phylis Conolly. He tends to keep details about his current fiancée under wraps during interviews, but he did reveal in 2017 that she is a colleague.
