Spitfire’s design emphasizes speed and efficiency, featuring a lightweight composite hull capable of reaching speeds up to 22 knots. The yacht’s cruising range is 2,200 nautical miles, with the option to extend this to 3,500 nautical miles with additional fuel tankage. The vessel’s hybrid diesel-electric propulsion system offers flexibility, allowing for silent, emissions-free operation for up to 11 hours with an optional battery upgrade.
The interior and exterior design of Spitfire, characterized by sleek, low-profile lines and extensive use of dark glass, aims to offer seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces. The yacht features a versatile beach club area with fold-down wings and a transformer platform for easy water access. This area can be configured as a lounge and cinema space or a fully-equipped gym, depending on the owner’s preference.
Onboard accommodations include an owner’s suite on the main deck and four guest cabins below. The owner’s suite provides expansive 270-degree views, a private forward cockpit with a hot tub, and an outdoor movie theater. The interior design prioritizes flexibility, with spaces that can be adapted to various functions using sliding glass walls and doors.
Construction of Spitfire’s composite hull is scheduled to begin in 2025. Ares Yachts, known for its experience in building high-performance military and commercial vessels, is applying this expertise to create a superyacht that balances luxury with technical innovation.
Ares Yachts Chairman Kerim Kalafatoğlu highlighted the company’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of yacht design and performance, stating that the Spitfire project reflects a convergence of speed, lightweight construction, and innovative design.
Ares Yachts, situated in Antalya Free Zone on Turkey’s south coast, spans 40,000 square meters of build space across four large sheds. Besides Simena, the shipyard is concurrently working on other projects, including the 50m motor yacht Spitfire and a 54m explorer yacht known as Project Atlas. Additionally, Ares Yachts is developing a 65-85m yacht range in collaboration with Lateral Naval Architects.
