If money is no object, there’s simply no better way to enjoy summer in style than on board one of the world’s biggest and most luxurious superyachts. Kitted out with modern amenities that wouldn’t look out of place in the best luxury hotels, the premise of these rather expensive ocean cruisers is that you get all the benefits of being at sea – with idyllic pitstops amid the azure waters of Sardinia, the bays of French Polynesia and cliffs of the Cyclades – without actually feeling like you’re at sea. Boasting dancefloors, sushi bars, cinemas, rooftop pools and world-class spas, these yachts do not skimp on the small touches. Step on board the most incredible superyachts available to charter this summer – and one jaw-dropping permanent residence which is seriously pushing the boat out.

Ahpo

Length: 115.1m
Sleeps: 16
Price per week: €2,600,000
Where it’s sailing this summer: Western Mediterranean

Having hit the headlines earlier this year thanks to what is believed to be the largest brokerage deal in history (she was listed for a record-breaking €340,000,000), Ahpo is a 115-metre motor gigayacht designed with families in mind. Built by German shipyard Lürssen in 2021, and designed from top-to-toe by Italian yacht studio Nuvolari Lenard, eight cabins sleep up to 16 people, while 39 crew man the decks. The yacht’s stand-out stay is the duplex master suite, lit by exquisite Lasvit crystal chandeliers and featuring two private balconies, two bathrooms, and direct access to a sky-gym deck and pool.

Other highlights include a spa on the lower deck, offering guests a serene mosaic-adorned space to rejuvenate on the water thanks to a Himalayan salt sauna, hammam and massage room. Adrenaline junkies, however, may prefer to take to the waves with an array of toys, such as jet skis and wakeboards. Don’t fancy a dip in the sea? Head to the infinity pool and beach club, where you can let all your worries wash away.

Octopus

Length: 126.2m
Sleeps: 12
Price per week: $2,200,000
Where it’s sailing this summer: South Pacific, including French Polynesia and Tahiti

Another heavy hitter from Lürssen is Octopus, which was originally launched in 2003 and refitted in 2024, with American designer Jonathan Quinn Barnett curating the interiors. Boasting a helipad, cinema, spa, beach club and gym, Octopus can house up to 12 guests in spacious cabins including a luxurious master with floor-to-ceiling windows (so you can enjoy those views without ever leaving your king-sized bed) and private outdoor dining space.

One thing to know about Octopus is that she’s primed for parties and socialising. Musicians can head to the bridge deck studio – home to a selection of instruments, including guitars and a piano – while sundowners should be taken at the Sports Bar: a stylish space designated for cocktails and conversation, where expert mixologists can whip up any aperitif your palette desires. Those interested in life under the sea can take advantage of the Triton 3300 submarines, or traverse the waters with towable toys, waterskis, kayaks, windsurfers, and much more.
