Cantiere del Pardo will be among the top representatives of Made in Italy in the nautical industry at the Palma International Boat Show, one of the most important trade fairs in the Mediterranean, scheduled to take place on the Balearic island from April 30 to May 3. The Forlì-based shipyard will be present with two significant new models that represent the excellence of its production, both in motor and sailing categories: the Endurance 72 and the Gran Soleil Plus 65.
For the Endurance 72, a 22-meter motor yacht (with a maximum beam of 5.66 meters) that sits at the top of the range, the Spanish showcase marks the official European debut, a key market for the Forlì shipyard. However, it is worth noting that the boat was already seen and admired last summer during the America’s Cup, when it accompanied Luna Rossa as a hospitality yacht, and was later presented in the USA at the Palm Beach International Boat Show held from March 19 to 23.
Designed for a new idea of long-range navigation, the new flagship is notable for its personal, non-conformist style and its ability to ensure comfort, efficiency, and sustainability, qualities in line with the new course undertaken by the shipyard in the name of innovation.
The unconventional style, the result of a project developed in collaboration with the BurdissoCapponi Yachts&Design studio, characterizes a boat that redefines the very concept of Mediterranean cruising, with the aim of ensuring maximum comfort even during long stays on board. But it is when all the side terraces and large windows are opened that the Endurance 72 reveals its distinctive feature: a surprising open-air space, the largest in its category, that breaks down the boundaries between interior and exterior and offers a unique, immersive, and panoramic experience that involves the entire boat, from bow to stern, not to mention the flybridge. Below deck, there are four cabins, each with a private bathroom, an additional day bathroom, and a sailor’s cabin with a bathroom, accessible externally from the bow.
On the technical front, the solutions adopted for the hull stand out, with an optimized hull for Volvo Penta IPS propulsion, an engine room prepared for hybrid engines, and the possibility of sailing in eco-speed mode, maximizing comfort, range, and fuel efficiency.
It is possible to choose between two engine options: standard (2 Volvo Penta D13 IPS 1050) and optional (2 Volvo Penta IPS 1350). Both can be installed without modifications in the engine compartment, which is already prepared for the integration of a hybrid system. The shipyard is keen to point out that thanks to the “eco-speed” parameter, it is possible to identify the optimal speed for the best balance between consumption, trim, and comfort. In the case of the IPS 1350 configuration, the “eco-speed” is reached around 12 knots, with a consumption of 80 liters/hour and a range of 72 hours/900 nautical miles.
In addition to the new Pardo Endurance 72, visitors to the Palma Boat Show will also be able to admire other flagship models from the shipyard, namely the GT52, the P50, and the P38. If that weren’t enough, the Spanish boat show will also offer the Forlì shipyard the opportunity to present the Performance version of the Grand Soleil Plus 65 in a world premiere, a sailing vessel that complements the already known Grand Soleil Plus 65 Long Cruise (presented in 2023 at the Cannes Yachting Festival) representing the sportier side of the range dedicated to sailors. Outside the exhibition area of the show, it will also be possible to visit – thanks to a tender service provided by the shipyard – the Grand Soleil 72 Plus Long Cruise, the current flagship of the Plus line.
