The Sunreef ULTIMA 55 made its global debut in Dubai recently.
It seems only fitting that Sunreef Yachts’ ULTIMA 55 (the first catamaran built by Sunreef Yachts at their massive, state-of-the-art facility in the United Arab Emirates) made her global debut at the Dubai International Boat Show recently.
In fact, it’s an impressive feat simply because when they started in 2022, the company had to build the shipyard in Ras Al Khaimah Maritime City (that opened on March 4, 2024) first.
The ULTIMA 55 has a wide-open layout.
Like all of the Sunreef’s ULTIMA line, the 55 features optimized energy consumption and a perfect blend of speed, stability, and luxury. Some of the yacht’s standout features include: a massive, walkaround deck, semi-open saloon, and large convertible aft area that has two-fold-down bulwark platforms.
ULTIMA 55 launch
In addition to being hyper eco-conscious, I think the 55 also benefits from distinctive good looks which can be hard to accomplish on more conventional powercats that can sometimes be taller and boxier that this low-slung new model.
UAE VIP’s celebrate the launch of the Sunreef ULTIMA 55 with company founder Francis Lapp
So, I’m not surprised that lots of distinguished guests such as: Sheikh Rami bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Sheikh Ahmed bin Khalid Al Qasimi, and Rashid Shaneen to celebrate the launch. It was a proud moment for the Sunreef and the UAE.
And I hear the Sunreef has a few more high-profile announcements coming. I wonder if another celebrity ambassador announcement is planned? Stay tuned to find out.
