2 Humongous Ragdoll Cats Find the Funniest Sleep Spot

by R.Donald

If we were to take a page out of a cat’s playbook, it’d include a few must-do things each and every day: napping, eating, sleeping, begging to eat, and being cute. It doesn’t sound like a bad situation, honestly. For two huge Ragdoll siblings, part of the snoozing happens in a place you might call a head-scratcher.

As Mom described in the @ragdollmanor post, there are about 31 pounds of fluffy Ragdoll cat stuffed in a tiny tray on the living room table. It doesn’t matter if it’s not the spot we’d choose for a nap because they’re sleeping a little too good (maybe we should take notes).

It’s worth pointing out that the house isn’t lacking in designated cat beds, towers, and spaces meant for them, so that makes their tray choice even funnier.

Cats in general are silly, goofy companions, but I can attest to the fact that Ragdolls are perpetually floppy, easygoing, and laid-back enough that nothing bothers them—so why should their sleep spot?!

In a previous clip, you can see exactly how cool this breed is, and why they’re natural comedians without trying.

Why Cats Choose Strange Sleep Spots

Anyone who’s had cats will tell you they make some pretty questionable decisions sometimes. It’s especially true when it comes to sleeping. I’ve caught my cats napping behind the toilet, under a bed, and even on the dining room table (like… why???), so the Ragdolls’ small tray is up to par!

Cats choose these strange spots because of their wild instincts. Wherever they go, it likely provides some sense of security, feels warm, or is a high-up vantage spot so they can sus out any danger. It’s common for them to curl up next to us to stay warm, but they might also go to a confined spot (like a table tray) to make sure nothing sneaks up on them.

The snoozing Ragdolls are just doing what cats do—and we thank them for entertaining us!
