Macon caregiver charged with stealing $10,000 in jewelry, meds from patients’ home

A Macon caregiver faces felony charges after allegedly using a security code to steal $10,000 in jewelry and medication from her hospitalized patients’ home.

According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office (BSO), the suspect, identified as Crissy Watts, and an unknown accomplice were caught on camera burglarizing a home of those she cares for on High Point Road.

Watts used her code to break into the home while the owners of the home were hospitalized.

BSO said Watts stole $10,000 worth of belongings, including vintage jewelry and prescription medication.

Watts was arrested on Thursday and charged with felony burglary in the first degree and exploit/inflict pain to/deprive essential services to a disabled person, an elder person or a resident.
