MARYSVILLE—The Marysville Police Department has concluded a long‑term investigation into a July 23, 2025, burglary at the JC Penney store in Marysville. During the break‑in, suspects forced entry through a shattered rear glass pane and stole more than $47,000 in jewelry after smashing a display case. Patrol officers responded immediately and began evidence collection and initial investigative work.
Detectives continued the case with extensive follow‑up, including physical evidence processing, surveillance review, and multiple forensic examinations. Through this work, investigators identified Glenn Osborne as a suspect. On April 27, 2026, detectives established probable cause linking Osborne to the burglary based on DNA analysis and corroborating investigative findings.
On May 27, 2026, Marysville Police Pro‑Act Officers located Osborne in the Bothell area. He was armed with a handgun at the time of contact. As a convicted felon, he is prohibited from possessing firearms. Osborne was taken into custody without incident. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on charges of Burglary 2nd Degree, Theft 1st Degree, Trafficking in Stolen Property, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 2nd Degree.
