On Saturday, the royal family made their traditional appearance at the Trooping the Colour ceremony, which serves as the public celebration of King Charles every year. The Prince and Princess of Wales attended with their children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. As they often do, the family subtly coordinated their ensembles.
And as usual, Kate Middleton’s look served as the sartorial centerpiece. She wore one of her favorite designers, Catherine Walker, modeling a blazer dress with white details along the pockets, cuffs, and collar. With the dress, Kate wore a matching Philip Treacy hat and a pair of white pumps. She accessorized with an Irish Guards brooch, Cassandra Goad earrings, and a very special bracelet.
The three strands of pearls held together with a diamond clasp once belonged to the late Princess Diana, and is a favored piece. It was designed by Nigel Milne and passed on to William after her death. He eventually gifted it to his wife.
The two boys, Louis and George, wore navy suits and baby blue ties to match their mother’s look. Princess Charlotte was in all white with a few blue details, accessorizing with white ballet flats and a white bow in her hair. And on her wrist, she wore a very similar bracelet to her mother’s, marking a sweet matching moment between the mother and daughter.
The family arrived in a horse-drawn carriage after greeting the crowds that appeared to celebrate the King’s birthday, before joining the rest of the family on the balcony.
