The heat score on Taylor Swift‘s wedding to Travis Kelce is off the charts as the news reaches a fever pitch about the logistical details: who, what, where, and when.
With the reported Madison Square Garden location looking more likely according to The New York Times, the focus is now on the guest list. It’s been speculated that Swift cut Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, and Miles and Keleigh Teller from the guest list, but everyone else made the cut? Well, according to NewsNation, a few invited VIPs were shocked to receive an invitation.
NewsNation reporter Paula Froelich shared that “five people” who “literally met Taylor twice” are going to the wedding of the year.
“She’s great, and we love her… but (the invitation) was extremely unexpected,” one lucky guest told Froelich.
While that may seem surprising from the outside, take one look at the “Shake It Off” singer’s October 2025 interview with TV host Graham Norton — she told Swifties exactly how the wedding was going down.
Norton asked her whether the wedding would take place in 2026, since Swift was newly engaged at the time.
“Oh, you’ll know,” she laughed.
“So, you’re going big,” Norton responded.
“I just mean that I was going to invite you to it,” she said.
“If you’re inviting me, it’s very big,” Norton responded excitedly.
“It’s huge,” Swift confirmed.
While receiving an invite to the Swift-Kelce nuptials is cool, Page Six noted on June 25 that there’s an ultra-exclusive party on July 2 at Madison Square Garden for 100 close friends and family members. The media outlet is also reporting between “1,000 and 2,000 people at a much larger party” on July 3.
It’s a far cry from the rumored intimate Rhode Island wedding that was initially planned; it looks like Swift and Kelce wanted to go big or go home.
