Paws of Honour will take over the recreation ground on September 13 for a family-friendly event supporting German Shepherd Rescue South.
The event promises a full day of canine competitions, community fun, and fundraising.
Katy, the event organiser, said: “We are thrilled to bring our first ever Paws of Honour show to Ludgershall.
“Every penny raised on the day goes directly toward food, medical care, and finding loving forever homes for these incredible, majestic dogs.
“It’s a chance for the community to come together, celebrate our pets, and support a truly worthy cause.”
The show is open to all breeds and will include classes such as Best Rescue, Most Handsome Dog, Prettiest Bitch, Best Trick, and Cutest Puppy.
Judging begins at 10.30am, with gates opening at 10am.
Entry is free for visitors, with a small fee to enter each dog into a class.
All proceeds will go to German Shepherd Rescue South, a volunteer-led charity that rehomes and rehabilitates German Shepherds across the South of England.
Katy said: “Paws of Honour is more than just the rosettes; it’s about celebrating the loyalty of our canine companions, and giving dogs in need a second second chance at a happy, safe home.”
The day will also feature stalls selling crafts and pet products, health and wellbeing area for dogs, refreshments, and a grand raffle with prizes donated by local businesses.
All raffle ticket sales will support the charity.
Organisers are currently seeking sponsors, stallholders, and volunteers.
Sponsorship packages are available for businesses wanting to support the event, including opportunities to sponsor individual classes.
Stalls are open to local artisans and pet boutiques.
Volunteer roles include event set-up, ring assistants, marshals, and support at the German Shepherd Rescue South stall.
Organisers say that community involvement is key to making the day a “howling success.”
German Shepherd Rescue South works to rescue and rehome German Shepherds in need, providing medical care, food, and training until they find permanent homes.
