Suspects Wanted in Great Lakes Crossing Smash and Grab Jewelry Store Robbery

(Auburn Hills Police, July 14, 2026)

Auburn Hills, MI – On Monday, July 13th, 2026, at approximately 7:30 pm, Officers from the Auburn Hills Police Department were dispatched to the Helzberg Diamond Outlet store inside the Great Lakes Crossing Outlets at 4000 Baldwin Road in response to 911 calls reporting that two males had used hammers to smash jewelry displays and steal jewelry.

After stealing the jewelry, the two males fled on foot. The suspects did not assault or threaten any employees during the theft. The two suspects exited the mall through entry/exit six.

Upon arrival, Officers could not locate the suspects.

Description of the suspects: Video evidence and eyewitnesses describe the two suspects as African American males, 18-25 years of age, with similar heights of approximately 5’8” and thin builds. The first suspect was wearing a dark-colored thin coat, white shirt, light-colored blue jeans, and dark-colored shoes.

The second suspect was wearing a light gray hoodie, orange shorts, and white shoes, and was carrying a camouflage backpack.

Auburn Hills Police Detectives are actively working to identify the two suspects. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information is asked to contact the Auburn Hills Police Department at 248-370-9444.
