Gadget Parts are the heart and soul of customization in Splatoon Raiders. They are the building blocks that define the strength of each Gadget, and they can even modify how the ability works.
Let’s look at the Booyarang as an example. In its base form, the Booyarang is a single boomerang throw that deals damage to enemies it hits. However, if you equip the “Multirang” part, it will actually change the ability to throw two Booyarangs at a time.
These types of parts go well beyond simply buffing Damage; they alter the mechanic of the ability. With this, there are seemingly endless combinations to explore.
Gadget Part Slots
Each Gadget Part comes with an equip cost noted in the top left corner of its icon (or to the left of the name when in use). When you equip a part, it will occupy the designated amount of Gadget Part Slots.
For anyone familiar with The Adventures of Elliot, this works just like the Magicite system.
With this system, you can freely mix and match parts to your liking, so long as they don’t exceed your Gadget Part Slot capacity. As to be expected, strong and/or unique effects will come at a higher cost.
As you level up your character and earn Skill Points, you can upgrade your Ink Tanks to gain more slots. So if you happen to be a point or two shy of making a certain combination, leveling up can allow you to come back and put it together!
