The Village of Cedarhurst will celebrate a favorite summer tradition when its 11th Annual Car Show in the Park returns to Andrew J. Parise Park on Aug. 30, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free, and organizers expect more than 100 classic and collectible vehicles to line the park for a day of automotive history, family fun and community spirit. From vintage automobiles and muscle cars to hot rods, trucks and exotic vehicles, the annual event has become a destination for enthusiasts and residents alike.

While the vehicles are the main attraction, the annual Car Show in the Park has grown into much more than an exhibition of automobiles. Village officials describe the event as a community gathering that encourages residents of all ages to spend time together while enjoying one of Cedarhurst’s signature summer traditions. Families can stroll through the rows of vehicles, chat with owners, reminisce about favorite cars from years gone by and introduce younger generations to automotive history. Trophies will once again be presented in multiple categories, recognizing outstanding vehicles across a range of classes. Mayor Benjamin Weinstock has said the village’s goal is to create events that keep residents engaged and connected. “Our mission is to keep our residents engaged and involved in the community,” Weinstock said. “We believe that family events are key to creating a strong Village.
3. Admission is free, making it an easy summer outing
One of the biggest draws of the annual event is that it remains completely free for visitors. From 9 a.m. until 3 p.m., attendees can browse the extensive collection of automobiles at their own pace without purchasing a ticket. Organizers say the event offers an affordable way for families, friends and visitors to spend a late-summer Sunday together while enjoying classic cars and nostalgic memories. Over the past decade, the show has become one of Cedarhurst’s most anticipated seasonal events, attracting returning participants and first-time visitors alike.
