Morgan Cars have been hand-built at the company’s factory in Malvern, Worcestershire, since 1910 and have retained the distinctive design of a 1930s sports car for the last 90 years – even though there many modern features under the bonnet.

Spirit Yachts is a youngster in comparison – being founded in 1993 – but it has developed a superb reputation for its yachts and cruisers.

It is not the first time Morgan owners have visited Spirit Yachts – but it is the first for several years said Helen Porter from the Ipswich company.
“We like to welcome visitors who share our belief in classic British craftsmanship – and Morgan and Spirit have a very similar ethos.

“It was great to be able to show our visitors what we are doing here – they really appreciated the level of skill of the people working here.”

Spirit Yachts are seen around the world – and have featured in Bond films with Daniel Craig over recent years.
The Morgan owners were also joined by visitors from the company’s dealership in the East of England, Krazy Horse cars of Bury St Edmunds.

Greg Vickers from the Morgan Owners Club said: “There is a natural and obvious synergy between this long established British Yacht builder and Morgan Motor Company with very similar design and craftmanship ethos.”

And both companies are strong exporters for the UK – with their products being sold around the world.
