Rescue shelter issues urgent appeal for homes for dogs at risk of being put down

THE Underheugh Ark Rescue has issued an urgent appeal to find foster homes for three dogs at risk.

The Inverclyde-based organisation said it is seeking experienced foster carers for three lurchers currently in a pound.

The group warned it has no kennel space available and is already caring for dogs in emergency accommodation.

In a social media message, the rescue said the dogs must find space in foster or rescue care or face being put down due to capacity pressures.

It added that the animals are strays with no history, meaning they may require experienced handlers and additional care.
