“Think ‘Trippin’ with Tarte,’ but we’re trippin’ down the aisle, and instead of influencers attending, it’s literally our parents and our siblings,” Barbosa said, referring to the makeup brand Tarte’s annual influencer marketing brand trip that draws millions of views and intense social media anticipation each year.Barbosa broke down plans for the weekend, including that she and Connor had already booked a “huge 20-person villa that literally looks like it’s on Love Island” at a beach destination. Barbosa said the couple was planning a packed itinerary for their family.“The rooms will be decorated and filled with gifting every night we’ll have a different theme and dress code,” Barbosa added. “The fridge will be fully stocked in the meals are gonna be iconic and we’re gonna be posting the entire thing.”

Barbosa called the upcoming trip the “most iconic family vacation ever and it’s gonna be so nice for our families to get really close.”Finally, the influencer put out an ask to any brands watching the video: “If there are any brands that wanna get involved or if you guys have any ideas, please let me know down below. Let’s get married.”Commenters immediately rushed to the chat to share their mixed opinions on Barbosa’s plan. “So basically they just want someone else to pay for their wedding 😭,” one commenter wrote.“Whyyy are we begging for brands to sponsor our destination wedding [I’m] crying 😭,” another asked.“Girl, I love you. But what?” one user said.

One commenter pointed out that Barbosa and her fiancé were, ultimately, the “brand” behind the trip, writing, “DID ANYONE PAY ATTENTION? They said THEY ARE THE BRAND!!!! They are paying to have their families fly with them and pamper their loved ones during THEIR WEDDING!!!”Some brands got in on the fun, with skincare brand Thayers writing in to say: “We’d love to participate! Tripping down the aisle glowing 😉.” Winky Lux, a makeup and skincare brand also expressed interest.“You two are the most iconic brand ✨ we’d love to help!!” they wrote.

Barbosa’s announcement comes after the internet’s attention was captured by a different influencer’s gauche, branded bachelorette trip. Brigette Pheloung, who is known as Acquired Style on social media, captivated audiences with her over-the-top bachelorette trip to St.Barths, which was a four-night, themed affair.

Pheloung and her large group of influencer friends took over social media with their content creation, donning outfits from Pheloung and her sister Danielle’s brand PhePhe in many clips and flying to the destination on a private jet. Internet commentary went wild, dissecting the elaborate vacation, including speculation about the trip’s sponsor, Swan Beauty, a small beauty company known for its nearly $800 AI-powered makeup mirror.Barbosa, 23, initially revealed the big news of her engagement to her fans on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2025, taking to both Instagram and TikTok to share a series of sweet snapshots from the moment, as well as footage of herself and her new ring. In her initial Instagram post, which Barbosa captioned, “my heart is full & my hand is heavy 💍,” she can be seen embracing her new fiancé, whom she has only identified as Connor, while showcasing her new pink engagement ring, which arrived fittingly in a matching pink box.
