  • Lainey Wilson married Devlin Hodges on May 10, in Dickson, Tennessee.
  • For the ceremony, Wilson wore a custom Oscar de la Renta gown, which featured Japanese cherry blossoms on the bodice; it signified a break from tradition for the star, who is often in pants.
  • “The cherry blossom represents living in the moment, and that’s exactly what we did,” she said.

Country music star Lainey Wilson is officially a married woman. The 33-year-old singer-songwriter wed NFL star Devlin “Duck” Hodges, 30, on May 10, in Dickson, Tennessee. On her wedding day, she broke her personal tradition in a big way.

For the occasion, Wilson, who usually wears pantsuits for public events, donned a custom Oscar de la Renta halter gown with an extra-long veil and dramatic train. Styled by Alexandra Mandelkorn, the look featured Japanese cherry blossoms along the neckline and bodice, which symbolized a deep meaning for the bride.

“The cherry blossom represents living in the moment, and that’s exactly what we did,” Lainey told Vogue, which published photos of the wedding.

The Grammy-winning artist also called the gown her “dream dress.”

“Feeling royal and confident in my dream dress and veil, made by the incredible Oscar de la Renta team,” she said. “Afton Williams and Mylan Medrano complemented the look perfectly with natural, timeless glam and hair.”

The couple, who met on a blind date in 2021, got married at the Ruskin Cave, a “historic” and “legendary” venue in the greater Nashville area.

“We wanted it to be special and beautiful, but really welcoming and comfortable for our guests,” she said. “We tried not to take ourselves too seriously. Being from Louisiana, I wanted to bring in a little bit of Cajun flair, so naturally we hired a 12-piece jazz band called Rebirth and had a Cajun meal from the chefs at my bar, Bell Bottoms Up.”

For an extra touch of romance, Wilson and Hodges wed near a waterfall.

“You could hear the water trickling down and birds singing, and we had a nice spring breeze,” she said. “I arrived in a white horse-drawn carriage and walked down the aisle with my Deddy to join Duck at the altar.”
