A smoothing and soothing skincare layer, body oils retain moisture – preventing water loss and protecting against dryness. Best used on damp skin to seal essential moisture in, they’re an ideal body care step for applying straight after a bath or shower.
As well as supporting moisture retention, body oils can help with elasticity, scarring and signs of ageing. Applied all over the body, they bring a glowy finish and contain nourishing ingredients like vitamin E and antioxidants.
Often lightweight and fast-drying, the difference between body oil and lotion is the former locks in surface-level moisture while the latter delivers it to deeper skin layers.
