A North Yorkshire jewellery brand created by mum-and-daughter duo has been selected from hundreds to feature in a prestigious pop-up.
NinetyOne Jewellery, created by Emma Lindsay and her mum Karen Jones, is a premium independent small-batch jewellery brand based in North Yorkshire.
Launching their business just six months ago at their kitchen table, their business has been selected for a John Lewis Newcastle pop-up after being selected from hundreds of applicants.

NinetyOne Jewellery have also been supported by the company Pop-Up Indie, that supports small brands get into big retailers.
The brand will be at John Lewis Newcastle from Monday 1 to Sunday 7 June. The pop-up will include personal styling consultations, in-store jewellery personalisation and engraving, exclusive products and giveaways, and a chance to hear the story behind the business from the founders themselves.
The shift to creating the jewellery brand was a big career change for both Emma and Karen. Emma had been working in London in marketing and sustainability consulting, and Karen had recently stepped away from nursing.
“We called it NinetyOne as my mum was 60 and I was 31 when we first decided to start something together,” said Emma. “Jewellery-making started for as something we did together when I was growing up.
“Years later, after my Mum’s career in nursing and mine in corporate consulting in London, we found ourselves coming back to jewellery making again, not just because we loved it, but because we wanted to build a life and business on our own terms.”

NinetyOne Jewellery aims to ‘give women the confidence to play with style, embrace colour, and express who they are’ through a range of bracelets, necklaces and earrings.
“Every NinetyOne piece is hand-finished by my Mum in small batches from our North Yorkshire studio using high-quality materials, with collections designed around wearable seasonal colours, personal styling and personalised through optional engraving,” said Emma.
“At a time when fashion, accessories and personal styling are back in the spotlight – especially with the buzz surrounding Devil Wears Prada 2 – we’ve seen growing demand for thoughtful, versatile pieces that help women feel more confident and put-together.”
