Amazon’s Gaming Week Is Back. Save Nearly 80% on Games, Consoles, and Accessories

by R.Donald

  • Amazon’s annual Gaming Week sale is back and runs through May 4.
  • Save up to 76% on consoles, monitors, games, and more.
  • Select accessories and gaming chairs are also on sale for a limited time.

We all know about Prime Day, Big Deal Days, and even Amazon’s Big Spring Sale, but what if I told you there was a secret annual sale that flies under the radar year after year? Amazon’s Gaming Week Sale is officially live, and the nice site-wide sale caters specifically to us gamers. It runs through May 4, and Amazon is highlighting up to 25 percent off on select titles, consoles, and accessories. But that doesn’t tell the full story.

I scoured deals for hours and found up to 76 percent off some of our favorite video games and gaming tech. It’s almost a sale within a sale. Sale-ception, so to speak. This year’s gaming week is a doozy, highlighted by rare savings off Nintendo’s latest Switch 2 Bundle, up to 76 percent off games, and nearly $150 off my favorite gaming chair. Sounds too good to be true? Surprisingly, it isn’t. I went ahead and broke down my favorite deals by category so you can get in on the action. I’ll be updating the page as more deals pop up, so make sure to bookmark the page and keep your eyes peeled. This one’s a doozy.

Best Nintendo Switch Deals

As noted, the Switch 2 Mario Galaxy Bundle is a standout. Sure, it’s only $20 off, but that’s another $20 on top of the baked-in savings. You’re getting a new console, Mario Galaxy 1 & 2 for $500. It’s a great way to celebrate the Mario movie’s release, and with rumors of price hikes on consoles in the coming years, now’s as good a time as any to stock up while you can get a deal. There’s also another pretty cool hack for getting discounts on basically everything. You can save 10 percent on a $10 Nintendo eShop Gift Card. When you buy enough of them, they can put a serious dent in your purchase. Just something to consider.

Best PS5 Deals

Sony’s PlayStation 5 might have the best deals of the week so far, highlighted by nearly 80 percent off of one of its all-time classic titles, Persona 3 Reload. There are some other certified bangers on here, including nearly 50 percent off Resident Evil 7. Resident Evil 4, 3, and 2 are also on sale, so it’s a great time to get reacquainted with the series in HDR.MLB The Show is also on sale, which is always a great buy, and even more so now that MLB baseball is in full swing (quite literally).

Best Gaming Monitor Deals

Samsung is the highlight of this section, and one of the best overall buys, in my humble opinion, comes courtesy of $300 off the behemoth 49-inch Odyssey G9 Series DQHD Curved Gaming Monitor. It features lightning-quick response time thanks to a 240Hz refresh rate and convenient dual-QHD resolution for full peripheral vision. You can also save up to 40 percent off the ultra-bright LG Ultragear WQHD OLED Curved Gaming Monitor, which boasts an impressive 1300-nit peak brightness. If you’re looking for something cheaper, Samsung’s 27-inch Essential S3 Series Curved Computer Monitor is nearly 30 percent off and just $130.

Best Gaming Accessory Deals

FlexiSpot’s Premium Ergonomic Office Chair (don’t worry, it can be used for gaming, too) is a staple of my man-cave, and it’s now nearly $150 off. It stacks up to some of the really high-end Steelcase chairs I’ve tested, and at under $300, it’s a no-brainer. There are some other fantastic deals on headsets, gaming mice, and Wi-Fi enhancements. Meaningful upgrades, I might add.
