What You Need to Know
- Out of the dozens of kitchen gadgets I test every year, I’m sharing the 15 that have a permanent place in my kitchen—and that I’ve given as gifts to friends and family.
- You’ll find the perfect glass cup for your daily matcha, stainless steel pans that I hope to grow old with, nontoxic food containers, and more.
- There are even unassuming kitchen items like this hand scrub that erases all the smells off your hands—and exfoliates your skin—so you’re left with stink-free and extra-soft hands.
2025 was a big year for me when it came to testing kitchen products at home. I had a chance to test newly released gadgets and new-to-me tools that wound up changing a little bit of my life in the kitchen—a place I ironically don’t love to spend most of my time in. Hence, my favorites are discoveries that helped me get through the prep and cooking process faster, become a modestly better cook, and maybe converted me to enjoy being in the kitchen a wee bit more.
While I’m admittedly a sucker for the glitz and glamour of new and hyped items, I almost always wind up settling for the practical and effective things in life. So, when these coffee makers, pans, storage bags, and more came across my desk (or to my doorstep) and delivered on all those ends—well, here I am now sharing my semi-life-changing kitchen finds with you.

If you like your spices and seasonings, you actually really need this. I’ve been raving about this to anyone that gives me a few seconds of their time because it consolidates a maximalist-like set of kitchen spices into an easy-to-use single tool. The mill itself “clicks” over individual pods to connect—just hit the button to get uniform grinds of your spice of choice. I love it because I can quickly change out my salt, pepper, parsley, basil, and more without opening up any separate containers (or creating a mess on my counters).
My house will never be without garlic. There are frozen cubes of it in my freezer, fresh bulbs in my veggie basket, peeled-and-ready cloves in my fridge—so my hands stink when I prep it. However, with this Naomi After-Cooking Hand Scrub, I can handle all the garlic (and anything else) without worry. The plant-based formula contains an odor-neutralizing ingredient derived from yeast that removes food smells from your hands, which I have found very effective. But the best part is that it also gently exfoliates and nourishes your skin, so you don’t feel like you’ve stripped your hands of the things you do want to keep.
I liked this set of nonstick cookware so much that I had my mom test it—and she’s now insisting I send a set to my brother (who lives in Seoul, mind you). But I get it; the 10-piece set has everything a kitchen needs: a 2.5-quart saucepan, a 5-quart stockpot, a saute pan, two frying pans, two sets of lids, and two silicone utensils. I’ve cooked everything from steak to Korean stews in them, and every time things come out perfectly prepared with zero stick. It’s been a trooper the past year, and they genuinely look brand new. Plus, I particularly like the gold handles—just adds a level of oomph to my otherwise very neutral interior kitchen.
Rice is consumed nearly every day at my house. While I would love to make fresh rice every time I want it, it just isn’t an ideal setup with time. So, I make a big batch in my trusty Cuckoo Pressure Rice Cooker (also highly, highly recommend!), and portion out servings into these small Caraway containers. They are the perfect size for up to two servings of rice, and I love that the grooved lid makes them stack perfectly inside my fridge. The nontoxic, ceramic lining means I can heat it up right from the container without any worry, and cleaning it is an absolute breeze. My mom is already requesting I get her a set because she, too, is obsessed.
It may not be the coolest kitchen product to have, but these silicone gloves are one of my most used things in the kitchen. I found that the size is perfect for my hands (which are generally on the small side); they’re large enough to cover finger length without compromising on the grip. I use these to handle my cast-iron Dutch ovens, general pan lids, and more. They’re $9 for a set of two, bringing the price down to under $5 for each—and they’ve remained perfectly intact without much wear and zero tears in the year I’ve used them.
My personal goal when it comes to being in the kitchen is to make things as easy as possible for myself, so I’m sharing more of my favorite kitchen products below. You’ll find my favorite surface cleaner, the sturdiest aprons I’ve ever tried, plus a handheld cordless vacuum that often finds its way outside of the kitchen because it’s so handy.
