From Jewelry to Sports Cars, This State Asset Auction Opens Access to Premium Goods

by R.Donald

JAKARTA – Luxury goods always have their own appeal in the world of lifestyle. From designer bags, fashion, high-value jewelry, to sports cars, each item not only represents status, but also art and investment values.

Interestingly, a number of luxury goods can now be accessed by the public through an official auction mechanism, opening new opportunities for the public to own exclusive collections in a more transparent way.

In this context, the Asset Recovery Agency (BPA) of the Indonesian Attorney General’s Office presents BPA FAIR 2026, a program that combines the concept of auctioning state assets with an open approach to the public.

This activity is a step to show how the assets from law enforcement are managed and redistributed through an accountable process.

The launch event was also attended by a number of officials and representatives of the banking sector, including the Head of the Asset Recovery Agency Kuntadi and the Head of the Legal Information Center Anang Supriatna. BPA FAIR 2026 is scheduled to take place on May 18-22, 2026 in Jakarta.

Anang emphasized that this activity was not just an auction, but also part of public education related to the management of state assets.

“Law enforcement does not only stop at enforcement, but must also ensure the recovery of state losses. This activity is a means of public education as well as answering various perceptions that are developing in society,” he explained in Jakarta, recently.

More than 400 assets will be offered in this event, covering various categories of movable or immovable assets as well as various items close to the world of luxury lifestyles.

Starting from jewelry, luxury bags, vehicles such as sports cars, to high-value works of art are part of a collection that is accessible to the public.

Kuntadi explained that this activity also answered the public’s curiosity regarding the fate of confiscated assets after the legal process was completed.

“Through this activity, we want to answer the public’s question: where are the assets from the seizure after the case is over. We open this process transparently so that the public can understand and participate.”

The entire auction process is carried out openly with the support of a digital system, so that the public can access asset information through the official e-catalog. The total value of the assets offered is estimated to reach more than Rp. 100 billion, with the majority being movable assets that facilitate the review process.

In addition to presenting the auction experience, this event also opens a space for interaction between the public and institutions. Kuntadi added that transparency is not only about access to information, but also the involvement of the public in providing assessments.

“Transparency is not only about opening data, but also opening a space for dialogue. We want the community to be involved and assess the process we are running directly.”

In the future, BPA FAIR is planned to become a routine agenda that not only focuses on auctioning assets, but also expands public understanding of the management of high-value goods within the framework of law and economics.
