Princess Lilibet is taking cues from Meghan Markle‘s signature style.

On June 4, the Duchess of Sussex posted two new photos on Instagram to celebrate her daughter’s 5th birthday. “Our dream girl. Happy 5th birthday, Lili 🤍,” she captioned the carousel, which opened with a shot of Prince Harry holding Lilibet while Meghan watched on with a wide smile.

A close look at the new photos showed that Lilibet sported a gold bangle on her left wrist, which looked much like a favorite staple from her mom’s jewelry box.

The Duchess of Sussex has sported a yellow gold Cartier LOVE Bracelet (which retails starting at $5,300) for years, often stacking it with a matching yellow gold Cartier Tank Française watch.

Meghan also has a two-tone version of the timeless style, and over a decade ago, she revealed that she bought it as a future family heirloom.

The then-actress told Hello! magazine in 2015 she “totally splurged” on the item to celebrate the success of her show Suits. “I had it engraved on the back, ‘To M.M. From M.M.,’ and I plan to give it to my daughter one day,” she said. “That’s what makes pieces special, the connection you have to them.”

Meghan met and began dating Prince Harry a year later, and they tied the knot in a royal wedding in May 2018.

Their family expanded when their son, Prince Archie, now 7, was born in May 2019, and the couple stepped back from their royal roles in January 2020.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex then moved to Meghan’s home state of California, where Princess Lilibet was born in June 2021.

Harry, 41, and Meghan named their daughter in tribute to his grandmother Queen Elizabeth, whose childhood nickname was Lilibet.

A second photo that Meghan shared of her daughter on Instagram on her June 4 birthday showed Lili walking barefoot in the grass and reaching out for a flower in what appears to be the garden of the family’s Montecito home.
