TEXARKANA, Texas — A new boutique offering clothing and accessories for both children and dogs has opened in Texarkana, bringing a unique shopping experience to the community.
LittleFoots Boutique features a selection of children’s apparel, pet clothing and accessories, along with other specialty items designed to appeal to families and pet owners looking for distinctive products.
For owner Ashlee Felipe, opening LittleFoots Boutique was about more than starting a business; it was an opportunity to provide for her family while pursuing a passion for entrepreneurship.
“Becoming a single mom, I jumped out on faith to start this business,” Felipe said. “I used to own a daycare for six years, and once I closed that, I wanted to do something still revolving around kids and dogs to help generate extra income.”
Felipe sells toddler clothes from 2T to 7T for both girls and boys, as well as a variety of dog items.
“So, we have boutique-style collars for the dogs, toys and bandanas,” Felipe said. “We have cute T-shirts for the kids and dresses for the little girls.”
The opening adds another locally owned business to Texarkana’s retail community and provides residents with another shopping option focused on families and pet lovers.
“I’m a people person, and I love meeting new people and interacting with animals,” Felipe said. “I hope my customers take away something fun, meeting new people, making friends and supporting local business.”
LittleFoots Boutique opened on Friday. To start, the business will operate on weekends, Fridays and Saturdays.
“We don’t have set hours yet, but if customers see the pink umbrella open, then I’m inside,” Felipe said.
