I usually wear it on a bare face; it’s also a dream under makeup, especially if you have oily skin. Skip moisturizer, apply this, and then your complexion product—your skin will still be hydrated and pristine. It’s the closest thing you can get to Isamaya actually doing your makeup. —T.A.

Sephora Collection
Lip Tint Felt Liner,
$14.00

This was my year of lip stain—truly, I spent the better part of 2025 testing what the market has to offer. I kept coming back to this one from Sephora Collection. Here’s why: Brownie Sketch, a muted berry, is a dream shade for anyone with cool-to-neutral undertones; the felt tip delivers sharp lines; and its buildable formula stays just as long as (if not longer than) some of the more gimmicky products on the market. —M.H.

Best Lip Oil

When it comes to lip products, I’ve pretty much tried them all. I live for a glossy pout, and I was pleasantly surprised by how long this lip oil lasts. Usually, I find that lip oils dry up pretty quickly or aren’t truly hydrating, but that wasn’t the case with this one. It lasted for hours and gave my lips a soft flush and high shine that wasn’t sticky or thick. It features ingredients like hyaluronic acid, honey, and a blend of oils. The cute packaging is also a plus. —Robyn Merrett, news editor

After contouring and lining the lips, this lipstick in the shades Very Victoria and Pillow Talkese are often my starting point when doing a neutral makeup. I like a lipstick that maintains a very natural texture, so I often opt for mattes. I favor this formula because it’s still hydrating, doesn’t flake, and is smooth on the lips. I press the product into the lips and blot excess for that lived-in natural wash of color. —E.C.
