BYD YangWang U8, as a domestically produced million-yuan luxury car, has been in high demand since its launch. Many people are eager to experience it in advance, and rental platforms have taken the opportunity to launch YangWang U8 car rental services.
Atzuche’s official website shows that a brand new YangWang U8 with Shanghai license plate is available for rent. The vehicle has only traveled 16.3km and is considered almost new, but the rental fee is as high as 8,334 yuan (approximatly $1,159) per day.
The rental price for this is extremely high, even more expensive than luxury cars like Lamborghini, Bentley, and Rolls-Royce. For example, the rental price for a Rolls-Royce Ghost is 6,422 yuan (approximatly $893) per day.
And, the starting price of the Rolls-Royce Ghost model is 5.03 million yuan, while the BYD YangWang U8 is priced at 1.098 million yuan.
Although the new car price of Rolls-Royce Ghost is more than four times that of the YangWang U8, the rental fee is still not as expensive as the YangWang U8, which also shows how popular the YangWang U8 currently is.
Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that the BYD YangWang U8 is currently limited by production capacity. New customers who have placed orders will need to wait for several months before they can receive their vehicles. Many owners who have already received their cars have expressed that the waiting time is generally over six months.
And the latest sales figures show that in January of this year, a total of 1652 units of the YangWang U8 were delivered. For a domestically produced luxury car with a price tag exceeding one million yuan, such sales performance is quite impressive.
