Chongqing introduces China’s first auto insurance subsidy for new-energy commercial vehicles

In a first-of-its-kind move, the municipality of Chongqing is offering direct financial incentives to insurance companies that underwrite newly registered smart connected new-energy commercial vehicles. Insurers will receive government support equivalent to 10% of the premiums collected on eligible policies.
