Larry David was seen out for the first time since the death of his friend and co-star Richard Lewis.
The comedian died Tuesday at age 76 following a heart attack.
David, 76, who worked with the funnyman for more than two decades on the popular comedy Curb Your Enthusiasm, kept a low-profile as he ran errands in Los Angeles on Friday.
The Emmy winner looked relaxed in black joggers, a gray sweatshirt and sneakers as he stepped out of his LUCID electric car.
The writer and actor wore his trademark glasses and his silver hair was wavy.
He carried a black canvas shopping bag.
The Brooklyn native, who is known for playing a grumpy on-screen version of his self, posted a touching tribute to his longtime pal Thursday on social media.
‘Richard and I were born three days apart in the same hospital and for most of my life he’s been like a brother to me,’ he wrote on the Curb Your Enthusiasm Instagram page.
‘He had that rare combination of being the funniest person and also the sweetest. But today he made me sob and for that I’ll never forgive him.’
The beloved actor was expected to be laid to rest in a private funeral.
Production on the final season of the Emmy winning HBO show has been completed
Episodes began airing February 4 and will continue to air through April 7.
In announcing the series finale, David issued a statement saying he ‘will now have the opportunity to finally shed this ‘Larry David’ persona and become the person God intended me to be — the thoughtful, kind, caring, considerate human being I was until I got derailed by portraying this malignant character.’
Co-stars Cheryl Hines and Susie Essman told The Hollywood Reporter they’re pleased with how the show will end.
‘The ending is pretty incredible, I think it’s a masterpiece,’ Essman told the publication.
Hines, who stars at ‘Larry’s’ wife agreed.
‘I’m happy with the ending, I think people will be happy and they’ll really love this season. It’s going to take you on some twists and turns.’
