Li Auto saw the 100,000th mass-produced Li i6 roll off the assembly line on Friday, marking a significant acceleration in the production speed of the electric SUV.

It took the company just 21 days to go from the 80,000th unit on March 20 to the 100,000th unit on April 10. This means Li Auto produced 20,000 Li i6s in less than three weeks.

Considering there are another 20 days left in the month, this production pace means single-month deliveries of the Li i6 could hit a new record in April.

With production bottlenecks finally resolved, monthly deliveries of the Li i6 broke through the 24,000-unit mark in March, the company said earlier this month.

This helped Li Auto deliver 41,053 vehicles in March, recording a 12% year-on-year increase and a 55.38% jump from February.

In the first quarter, Li Auto delivered 95,142 vehicles, exceeding the upper end of its guidance range.

The Li i6 was launched in September 2025 with a starting price of 249,800 yuan ($36,570). The model targets the family market and is tasked with driving the transition to pure electric vehicles.

In January, Li Auto delayed the delivery of some Li i6 orders due to insufficient battery supply. The company attempted to guide users to choose different battery versions at the time to shorten wait times.

This sales recovery occurred during a difficult period when the company barely maintained profitability. Li Auto’s net profit in the fourth quarter of last year was only 20.2 million yuan.

To reverse the sales slump, Li Auto plans to release an updated Li L9 series in the second quarter of this year. The company will also launch its flagship pure electric SUV, the Li i9, in the second half of the year.
