mobile.de offers car dealers the opportunity to use battery certificates to market their electric vehicles. This makes mobile.de the first car trading platform in Germany to offer the integration of battery condition certificates, which are a decisive factor in the purchase decision for electric vehicles. From mid-February, the new function will be tested and further developed in a comprehensive pilot project with Hyundai Motor Germany.
A lack of knowledge about the condition of the battery is a common obstacle when purchasing used electric cars: around 92 percent of users of Germany’s largest vehicle market, mobile.de, consider battery certificates to be very helpful when making a purchase decision. [1]
The new function is now being gradually further developed through a cooperation with Hyundai Motor Deutschland GmbH. As part of a test phase, partner dealers in the “Hyundai Promise” used car program carry out a battery diagnosis and receive the corresponding certificate from the battery service provider AVILOO. The associated advertisements can be found on mobile.de using a new search filter and using labels on the search results and detail pages.

The joint test pilot is initially scheduled to last six months and is intended to contribute to customer orientation in the growth market for used electric vehicles.
