Princes Risborough theft crackdown as keys and wallets left in cars

by R.Donald

Officers from the Princes Risborough Neighbourhood Team visited a number of car parks last week in a bid to raise awareness of car thieves.

The force teamed up with a safety officer from Buckinghamshire Council as it carried out checks at Whiteleaf Cross car park, Pulpit Hill in Cadsden, Coombe Hill in Butlers Cross and the public car parks around Princes Risborough.

A number of high value items were found in vehicles during the operation, prompting officers to issue words of advice to motorists.

A spokesperson said: “These areas are often targets for theft from vehicle crimes, with valuable items that have been left on display being taken.

“Whilst out, the team found a number vehicles that had items such as house keys, wallets, purses and parcels with personal details in clear view.

“The owners of these vehicles will be sent crime prevention information.”
