Founded by self-confessed motoring aficionado Benjamin Fortuin, the idea for The 12 Club was born of his own admiration of sportscars growing up, and the realisation over time that ownership, whilst a wonderful thing, comes with its various limitations and challenges.

Ben was out in Canada on a football scholarship. To complete his master’s degree his final project was to create his own business case study.

He shared – “I’ve always been captivated by the rise of membership clubs, particularly among the current generation. However, I realised that many clubs claiming to be ‘exclusive’ aren’t truly selective – if you can meet the financial demands, you’re in. By attaching an exclusive membership with sports cars, you get the ultimate experience”. Ben has now made his dream come true; and what was just a project at university is now The 12 Club today.

The 12 Club and its concept is the first of its kind. With a strictly limited number of members that makes it feel extra-elite – and the unique concept behind it is already causing a stir with luxury automotive fans as they begin to catch wind of it.

Looking ahead

The 12 Club is set to launch later this year, and places are expected to fill up almost instantaneously – but Fortuin has grand plans beyond that.

His long-term vision is to expand to five clubs across the UK within the next five years, each with their own 12 members. And it doesn’t end there.

“After establishing a strong foundation in the UK, we plan to expand our concept into Europe, bringing our unique members’ experience to a broader audience,” says Ben.
