McLeod carnage Bathurst

By Auto Action

The opening Super2 race of 2024 was cut short after a massive multi-car shunt that blocked the track at The Cutting.

As a result there was a lot of unnecessary damage that teams will be working deep into the night to repair so they can go racing again at Mount Panorama tomorrow.

Due to the red flag and two Safety Cars the “race” did not feature a single racing lap.

The carnage followed a move by Cameron Crick on Zane Morse leaving many with nowhere to go as Max Vidau was squeezed between car and concrete and Jett Johnson later arrived on the scene with nowhere to go and pinballing into Cam McLeod, Cody Burcher and Vidau.

Below are some shots of the wild scenes in the paddock which is now a field of broken dreams.
