Pros
- Best sunrise lamp and smart clock in one bundle
- Easy to pair, app has a nice interface
Cons
- High price
We’ve endorsed both the alarm clock and the lamp from this bundle. They’re great separately, but they’re even better together. The clock has a suite of nighttime wind-downs, a two-stage gentle wakeup, and a few different noise-machine settings to choose from. The lamp gives you the ability to mimic a sunset or sunrise to add to the gentle putdown and wakeup.
If we were really going to lean into the smart-gadget side of things, this is where we’d do it. The Loftie bundle is as good as it gets.

Pros
- Battery has enough life to last you through the night
- Apple’s native sleep tracking is plenty sophisticated, but you can pay for other apps
Cons
- A bit bulky for sleep
In general, we don’t love Apple Watches for sleep tracking. Not because they’re bad at it; they’re actually quite good. The issue has always been battery life. If you use an Apple Watch all day, you want to charge it at night. Now, though, we’ve got the Apple Watch Ultra 2, which has thirty-six hours of battery life.
As for the app we use, Apple’s native app gets the job done. You can also pay for AutoSleep for a bit more involved recording.
Pros
- A sleep tracker that doesn’t touch your body in any way
- Gives you plenty of stats without a premium subscription
Cons
- Uses an outlet spot that would otherwise be for a lamp or charger
This pad is less intrusive than other trackers. Slide it under the mattress and it’ll collect a trove of information on how you sleep: your breathing patterns, your snoring stints, your heart rate, and, naturally, your sleep cycles. Every day, it’ll hit you with a sleep score and an analytical breakdown of your night.
It’s also smart-home-friendly, using its Alexa connection to control smart lights and thermostats based on your movements. This is how you really micromanage your sleep environment.
Pros
- Best purifying and humidifying on the market
- Looks better than other humidifiers
Cons
- High price tag, a luxe option
Air purifying isn’t necessary for a good night’s sleep, but humidity is. If you sleep with the A/C cranked up and a fan on, your bedroom is going to be devoid of moisture. It’s not the leading cause of bad sleep, but it doesn’t help. A humidifier to keep your room at 40 or 50 percent humidity is ideal. That’s the sweet spot to prevent you from waking up and immediately reaching for a glass of water.
As for which brand, there are cheap humidifiers out there, but we really just prefer to double it up with a Dyson air purifier. Two birds with one stone. It’s higher quality, and it looks better than any of the humidifiers you’ll find on Amazon.

Pros
- Comfortable for sleep
- Stay locked into your ears
Cons
- Pretty simple tech, honestly
Never in my life have I needed earplugs to sleep. But now we live above a garage out in Brooklyn, and my girlfriend uses them regularly. Some nights, trucks move in and out, and sometimes they wake her up. These earplugs are her lifesaver.
If you’re using them regularly, the $30 investment is better than paying $15 for a new set of foam ears every few months. And they’re a lot more comfortable than foam disposables. They sit snug and flush in your ear, so they stay in place but don’t affect side sleepers.
Pros
- Most comfortable headphone situation we’ve found
Cons
- Fleece fabric can get sweaty
If you prefer some noise while you sleep but have a partner who doesn’t, this headband is a great compromise. Within the sleep-headphones category, there are a lot of bad options. This is not one of them. It fits snugly on your head, without restricting any sort of blood flow, and the thin speakers are never uncomfortable.
The only issue we had was with the fleece fabric. It’s fine in most cases, but if you run especially hot at night, it could lead to a bit of sweat. Earplugs or a white-noise machine might be a better choice.
