RANAU: There is increasing concern over the ill-effects of gadgets and smartphones among the younger generation.
Teacher Philip Galambun, 47, sees three things apparent in children who have become addicted to these technological tools.

“Children who spend a lot of time with their gadgets tend to have lower concentration levels and are unable to function normally without their gadgets.
“In schools they also have poor abilities in writing, because less time is spent on reading as texts are now replaced by videos,” he said.
