At the Mobile World Congress (MWC 2024), we saw a variety of new products, concepts and prototypes that can become a reality someday. Among all that have been showcased, we’ve put together six cool products that caught our attention.
Lenovo’s transparent laptop concept
Lenovo has showcased its innovation in the laptop space featuring a transparent display along with a keyboard deck that’s also a touch panel featuring a virtual keyboard, which seems inspired by an augmented reality setup. It features a 17.3-inch microLED display with 55 per cent transparency when it’s off. Once the display is on, it becomes less transparent and becomes completely opaque at maximum brightness.
Motorola bendable smartphone
Motorola has finally showcased the working prototype of a smartphone that can bend to become a wristband. While the phone isn’t supposed to make it to the shelves anytime soon, it looks like a fascinating concept. The phone features multiple hinges that help with the entire folding mechanism along with the 6.9-inch pOLED display.
Infinix smartphone with e-ink back panel
Infinix has showcased its new smartphone which features an e-ink display at the back. The display acts as a secondary display and has Prism technology that allows users to customise it as per their requirements. The panel adds to the design appeal of the phone.
A 28000mAh power bank with Android
Avenir Telecom has a new power bank or a phone with a massive 28000mAh battery pack. The phone runs the Android operating system. Featuring a rugged design with an IP rating for added durability, the handset is rated to deliver a talk time of up to 122 hours and a standby time of up to 2252 hours (94 days).
Nokia Barbie flip-phone
HMD Global has showcased a new Barbie-themed flip phone in partnership with Mattel. The company hasn’t shown the specifications and price or any other details of the phone and it is a feature phone and is expected to arrive later this year.
Xiaomi CyberDog 2
Xiaomi has yet again showcased its Cyber Dog at the MWC 2024. The Cyber Dog 2 features an updated design from its predecessor and can do a backflip too. Moreover, it is priced at $3,000 which is almost double its predecessor.
