I have a newer version of this vacuum (technically my second), and it’s my favorite cleaning tool that I own, and I hate to clean. This thing works on hardwood floors, tile, linoleum, and carpet (stone, too, if you have it)! It vacuums up dog hair like no other, and also works on thicker rugs, if necessary. Having a double-coated dog means this is something I use almost everyday on basically every surface (read: rug, carpet, couch, mattress), but I also would lend it to my friends who have a Newfoundland puppy and they loved it so much they got their own for Christmas! IMO, it’s absolutely worth it, but definitely check out our review of the Dyson V7 motorhead cordless stick vacuum.
