BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) – Louisiana is home to a wide variety of reptiles and amphibians, and community members will have the chance to learn more about these often misunderstood creatures during a special educational program at LSU’s Hilltop Arboretum Tuesday night.

The event, titled “Hidden in Plain Sight,” will feature wildlife expert Brad “Bones” Glorioso, who will discuss the reptiles and amphibians that live throughout Louisiana and the important role they play in the state’s ecosystems.

Attendees can expect to learn how these animals contribute to a healthy environment, common misconceptions surrounding them, and ways residents can help protect local wildlife. Organizers hope the program will encourage a greater appreciation for the species that share Louisiana’s forests, wetlands, and neighborhoods.
