At 5 a.m., while the world is wrapped in darkness and most of Phnom Penh is still fast asleep, Netra Pin, Chairwoman of SingMed International Medical Centre, is already awake, stretching into her morning routine with the same precision she brings to the boardroom. A 15-minute warm-up, followed by Pilates or yoga, a nutrient-packed breakfast, and a few moments of journaling—this is how she sets the tone for the day.
“My mornings are sacred,” says Netra. “They help me set clear intentions for my day ahead.” Balance isn’t just an aspiration when you’re a business leader, a global jet-setter, and an advocate for female entrepreneurship. It’s a necessity.

But let’s rewind a little.
Before the private jets and power suits, before she became the head of one of Cambodia’s first major medical tourism and air ambulance companies, Netra was simply a woman with an idea and a drive to create something larger than herself.
It all began in 2002 with a vision of making international healthcare more accessible. Netra founded Cam-Asia Co., Ltd (later known as ASH-Charter), specialising in medical travel, emergency evacuations, and private charter flights. The business literally took off—becoming the go-to service for patients seeking treatments abroad.

By 2019, she had expanded into SingMed International Medical Centre, solidifying her position as a leader in Cambodia’s healthcare sector. But while she had mastered running a business, she refused to let her ambition run her into the ground.
“I prioritise sleep, hydration, and daily movement. These are non-negotiable,” Netra says. “I also make sure to disconnect from digital screens for at least an hour before bed and dedicate time for skincare and mindfulness.”
Her self-care philosophy is deeply intentional and woven into her daily life with the same discipline she applies to business. “I schedule my workouts like important meetings,” she says. Whether it’s Pilates, guided meditation or indulging in a retreat at Clarins Spa or Rejuven Pilates, she ensures that wellness isn’t just something she fits into her daily routine—it’s something she protects.
Her skincare regimen is as strategic as her business decisions. “Skincare is self-care,” she insists. “I swear by a minimalist yet effective routine: cleansing, vitamin C serum, SPF in the morning, and retinol or hydrating night cream in the evening. Hydration and regular facial massages are what keep my skin glowing.”
For Netra, fashion is not just about dressing well—it’s a statement of confidence, power, and grace. “My style is sophisticated yet effortless,” she adds. “For work, I prefer structured yet comfortable pieces—power suits with a feminine touch. When travelling, I opt for more elegant, timeless fashion ensembles, and for events, I find I always gravitate towards chic statement pieces.”
Her wardrobe is curated with precision and purpose, influenced by the cities that have left their indelible mark on her. “Paris shaped my love for effortless chic, while Milan taught me the power of impeccable tailoring,” she elaborates. Netra is drawn towards timeless luxury brands, favouring Self-Portrait, Valentino, and The Row for their craftsmanship and understated elegance. “A well-tailored blazer paired with classic pumps is my go-to for high-profile meetings. For elegant evenings, a statement dress or an impeccably cut jumpsuit always works.” She understands the power of perfect tailoring, choosing silhouettes that exude strength, grace, and confidence.
Yet, beyond the clothes, the small details define her signature look. “A classic watch, elegant earrings, and a structured handbag are my staples,” she reveals. Accessories are not just embellishments; they are the finishing touch that elevates an outfit from stylish to iconic. And, of course, no look is complete without a signature scent —one that lingers in memory, leaving an impression long after she has left the room.

The moment Netra Pin steps onto a plane, she sees it as more than a journey—an opportunity to reset, reflect, and embrace the world’s endless possibilities. For business, she moves effortlessly between the electric energy of New York and London, two cities where ideas flow as fast as the traffic. “Both are buzzing with opportunities,” she says, drawn to their dynamism and global influence. But when the meetings are over, and it’s time to unwind, her soul craves the tranquillity of the Maldives, the breathtaking landscapes of Switzerland, the untouched beauty of New Zealand, and the cultural richness of Japan.
With a lifestyle that often demands her presence across continents, Netra values the privacy and flexibility of private flights, where she can balance work and rest. “It’s a luxury that helps me maximise productivity while travelling,” she shares. When flying commercially, Netra opts for Singapore Airlines and Emirates for their impeccable service and global accessibility. Her carry-on is carefully curated whenever she travels—a hydrating face mist, silk eye mask, lip gloss, headphones, and a cashmere wrap, ensuring she arrives feeling refreshed and composed.
Where she resides is just as important as the destination itself. Her discerning eye for detail has led her to Aman Tokyo, Four Seasons Maldives, and Badrutt’s Palace Hotel St Moritz in Switzerland, where world-class service and attention to detail elevate the experience beyond luxury—it becomes an art. And yet, there are still places she dreams of exploring. “Greece is on top of my list,” she confesses. For Netra, travel is not just about moving from one place to another—it’s about embracing new experiences, seeking inspiration, and finding a balance between ambition and escape.

While she thrives in the structured leadership discipline, her passions extend beyond the boardroom. Whether it’s a Pilates session to centre her body, an afternoon immersed in art collecting, or the electrifying energy of listening to live music, she finds joy in experiences that stimulate both the mind and the senses. Adventure, too, calls to her—an open invitation to step beyond the ordinary and embrace the thrill of new places, cultures, and challenges.
Music, however, remains her ultimate escape. “Listening to music is my favourite way to unwind,” she says, often pairing it with wine tasting or exploring new culinary experiences. This pursuit mirrors her appreciation for refinement and craftsmanship. But when the moment calls for something more exhilarating, she answers with the rush of skiing in the Swiss Alps, sailing through the Mediterranean, or horseback riding whenever she gets an opportunity.
Her love for exploration extends beyond places and experiences; it manifests in the treasures she brings home. “Art and unique fashion pieces are my favourite collectables—they remind me of the cultures and experiences I’ve encountered,” she divulges. These keepsakes serve as more than souvenirs—they are tangible reflections of her interactions with the world, each holding a story of craftsmanship, history, and identity. She has a keen eye for the art and rare fashion pieces she collects from her travels. “I love places that offer adventure and serenity,” she adds.

Having worked across different cultures, Netra has developed a leadership philosophy of adaptability, empathy, and global-minded thinking. “Exposure to diverse cultures has taught me the importance of inclusivity and innovation,” she explains. The more she travels, the more she understands that authentic leadership is about bridging perspectives and embracing new ways of thinking.
And when she finally steps away from the whirlwind of business and travel, her perfect day is refreshingly simple. “A slow morning with coffee and yoga, an afternoon at a spa, followed by an intimate dinner with close friends and family,” she describes. A reminder that even in a life filled with constant motion and ambition, the most incredible luxury of all is still—balance.
And for young women aspiring to make their mark on the world, her advice is clear. “Never compromise on your vision. Success is a balance of confidence, resilience, and continuous learning. Stay authentic and take the risks.”
Had she not pursued healthcare and business, she imagined herself in a completely different world—perhaps fashion design or venture capital, supporting other female entrepreneurs. When quizzed on who she would host a dream dinner party for, her guest list is legendary: Oprah Winfrey for her wisdom on success and personal growth; Coco Chanel for her pioneering vision in fashion and business; and Leonardo da Vinci for his innovation and creativity.
And, of course, the evening would be paired with good wine and even better conversation.
Some people chase success. Netra curates it. From leading a healthcare empire to perfecting her skincare routine, from power suits to private flights, from mentoring women to collecting art, she proves you can have it all if you prioritise wisely. And if there’s one lesson she embodies, success isn’t just about what you build—it’s about how beautifully you live.
