On Wednesday, March 13, a new private air charter firm called Opul Jets officially began its operations. The company is based in London and recently entered an agreement with the private jet center at London City Airport (LCY) to allow easy access for travelers. The company also has bases set up in the Isle of Man and Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) to accommodate international travelers.
Launch of operations
Per AIN Online, the Chief Executive Officer of Opul Jets, Harry Ackerman, spoke about the beginning of the company’s operations. Ackerman stated,
“We are delighted to bring Opul Jets into the market with our owned fleet, enabling us to quickly respond to client and broker requests. We are looking forward to elevating expectations in both private aviation and luxury travel. Opul Jets is a new member of the British Business and General Aviation Association and has also applied to join the Air Charter Association.”
The company began its operations with a fleet of three Bombardier jets. These jets include a Global Express XRS, a Learjet 40, and a Learjet 45. Each of these aircraft is fitted with unique interiors to ensure each of the company’s passengers travel in comfort and sophistication. These business jets also feature cutting-edge technology to ensure the aircraft meets the highest tier of safety and comfort.
Opul Jets features several other unique services in the private aviation industry. Opul Jets offers a personalized concierge service for each travel experience. One of the company’s main features is its dedication to efficiency, which ensures each of the travelers who book a flight with Opul Jets is accommodated properly.
Opul Jets also has an ongoing effort to support sustainability in the aviation industry. The company’s website features a carbon footprint calculator to promote sustainable flights and show travelers how much their traveling may affect the environment. This calculator was developed in partnership with Enfiniti, a global sustainability firm.
Extended operations in London
The company also recently entered an agreement for operations at London City Airport. Business jet operators often utilize this airport due to its location near the business district and the financial district. Each of the aircraft in the Opul Jets fleet has clearance to operate at the airport, as the airport has steep approach requirements. The Commercial Manager at the London City Airport’s Private Jet Center, Chris Clayton, spoke about the announcement, saying,
“This strategic partnership with OPUL Jets aligns with our vision to offer exceptional services and quick, discreet travel options for our clients. London City Airport is delighted to collaborate with OPUL Jets, and we look forward to jointly raising the bar for luxury air travel in the UK over the coming 12 months.”
Additionally, the private charter company is approved to operate out of the Jet Center at Ronaldsway Airport (IOM) in the Isle of Man and Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) in Dubai, UAE. These are the company’s operating bases, although Opul Jets operates globally due to its existing Air Operator Certificates (AOC), which allow the charter company to use its aircraft for passenger purposes, with SAXON and AV8 Aviation Malta.
