Taylor Swift is often under scrutiny when it comes to her private jet usage, and now a joke about how often she flies has gone viral.

The CO2 emissions from the pop superstar’s private jet were previously revealed by celebrity jet tracker Jack Sweeney. Swift threatened legal action against the University of Central Florida student after he began tracing her private jet travels and sharing the details to X, formerly Twitter.

According to Sweeney’s account, Taylor Swift Jets (@SwiftJetNextDay), the 34-year-old’s private jet flights produced 77.8342 tons of carbon dioxide between December 25 and January 30. Swift has been known to fly back and forth to watch her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce, in NFL games. She has also been traveling the world as a part of her record-breaking Eras Tour.

Now X user @boysamiie has posted a video of someone throwing a blow-up toy plane through a sports stadium. “Taylor swift switching seats at the super bowl,” they captioned the post, which at the time of writing had 4.5 million views. Swift was in attendance at Super Bowl LVIII on February 11 to watch the Chiefs win against the San Francisco 49ers.

Newsweek contacted Swift’s publicist for comment via email Friday.

“i’m cackling these are always so funny,” one person wrote.

“These jokes never get old,” said another.

“Best one by far,” someone else commented.

A fourth added: “Amazing.”

However, not everyone is impressed.

“Ight..it was funny at first now it’s getting tired,” one person posted.

“It is getting boring,” said another.

“are y’all done with these jokes yet?? it’s getting old,” a third wrote.

The pop superstar’s private jet usage has been a talking point for years. In 2022, she faced backlash after a report by environmentally-oriented marketing firm Yard found at that time that her extensive use of a private jet made her the biggest celebrity polluter of the year so far.

She also came under fire for flying to and from Kelce’s NFL games on her private jet amid concerns about pollution and global warming. Her VistaJet Global 6000 plane flew from Tokyo to Los Angeles and then onto Las Vegas as she rushed to make the Super Bowl.

Swift is currently in Sydney, Australia for her Eras Tour after having just finished a series of shows in the southern city of Melbourne, where she played to 96,000 people at each of the three concerts. The singer is performing sold-out shows in Sydney from February 23 to 26. Part of the stadium at her Sydney show on Friday was evacuated after lightning strikes nearby, with some on social media saying they were as close as 6 miles.
